Description
We fetch you at your location and its a short drive from Johannesburg to Pretoria. Our first stop the Voortrekker Monument is the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. It displays the history of the Dutch who became the Voortrekkers looking for their future in the African bush. Many stories of war, peace, bravery, expertise and families who must be regarded as the bravest of the brave. A beautiful story of success and riches that where discovered in the land and soil of South Africa. We then visit the State Presidents house Paul Kruger, The house unfortunately has not been looked after by the new government but it gives you a wonderful idea of the times and riches of the Boer people. They where amazing, intelligent and hard working. There results can be seen in the beauty of this house. We drive through the town and experience the new South Africa. Its wonderful to see how the country has changed and happy faces bartering in the city. There are many beautiful buildings in town and a visit to church square and the supreme court is an arts dream. our last stop off is at the Union Buildings. This building where designed by the famous Sir Herbet Baker ( he also built my school , Pretoria Boys High) The building are magnificent and the gardens are beautiful the year round. you can get a photo of yourself with the huge Mandela statue and the back drop of the Union Buildings. A short drive through Jacaranda city where most of the Embassy's are situated and the Pretoria University and then its back home. If you have spare time i take you to Menlyn on Maine to my favorite restaurant TashasIncludes
